Gemlidays brings together a deliberately limited number of independent accommodations across France. Each host is chosen for the quality of their property, the consistent excellence of their guest reviews, the attention they give their guests, and their thorough knowledge of the area.

A verified property, a host we have spoken to
Officially classified 4 or 5 stars by an accredited body, or visited by our committee against ten quality criteria (GemVisited). Either way, our committee reviews the property, its location, its online presence and its reviews, then speaks with the host.

Every member maintains a high rating across platforms and Google.

Our commitments
What we champion for every traveller
Verified quality
Every property holds an official 4 or 5-star classification from an accredited body, or has been checked on site by our committee against our GemVisited criteria. Before admission, we verify the authenticity of that certificate, or compliance with those criteria. We then track, over time, the ongoing validity of the classification or GemVisited check, and each member's guest reviews. Any member who no longer meets our selection criteria is removed from the network, under the conditions set out in our charter.
Hosts, not managers
You deal with the person who truly knows the property and the area: our hosts run their properties themselves, without a professional concierge service.
Direct booking, encouraged
We encourage booking directly with each host, for a simpler connection with the person welcoming you, and to support independent hosts rather than favour digital giants. Prices, payment and cancellation terms are set by each host: we recommend checking them before you book.
A network that supports itself
Our hosts share best practice in the interest of both traveller and destination. They may recommend other addresses in the network, selected with the same rigour.
