Website terms of use

These terms govern the use of the Gemlidays website, published by VALLHOME (see Legal notice).

1. Purpose

The website presents a selection of properties run by hosts who are members of the Gemlidays network.

2. Access to the service

Access to the website is free of charge for travellers. VALLHOME may suspend access for maintenance, without notice or compensation.

3. How properties are listed

The Gemlidays network operates through host membership, free of charge or paid depending on the tiers detailed on the page Pricing. The chosen tier has no effect on the order in which listings are displayed on the region pages and on the map. Only inclusion in the random selection on the home page is reserved for the Diamant tier: the properties shown there are drawn at random on each visit. During the launch period, until 31/12/2026, all properties in the network are included, whatever their tier.

4. Admission criteria

A valid official 4 or 5-star classification, verified by VALLHOME before admission, or a classification procedure under way (listing published with the mention “Classification in progress”, within 4 months).
Failing a classification, a GemVisited selection: a recent or substantially renovated property, meeting ten quality criteria checked during an inspection visit carried out by the Selection Committee. GemVisited is Gemlidays’ own assessment, not an official classification.
Registration of the property with the local authority, where required.
A selection that favours diversity among the properties presented, to offer a varied choice in each destination.
Quality of hospitality, guest reviews and online presence, reviewed by the Selection Committee.

5. Accuracy of information

The information on each listing (description, classification, availability, rates) is provided by the host and published under the host’s responsibility. VALLHOME carries out the checks described in its admission criteria, without guaranteeing that this information is complete at all times.

6. VALLHOME’s role in bookings

VALLHOME is not a party to the rental contract between the host and the traveller. It is involved neither in the booking nor in the payment. Any dispute relating to a stay must be addressed directly to the host concerned.

7. Liability

VALLHOME is not responsible for the content of third-party websites the site may link to (hosts’ websites, social networks, booking platforms).

10. Changes to these terms

VALLHOME may amend these terms at any time. The applicable version is the one published on the website on the date of consultation.

These terms are governed by French law.
