Built from logs, the house opens onto the forest and the meadows where horses graze. Inside, a vast open space of around 90 sqm brings together the living room, arranged around the wood stove, and a fully equipped kitchen with an island and a range cooker. The stove is the only source of heating: you light and feed it yourself, for the pleasure of a real wood fire. Upstairs, two mezzanine bedrooms linked by a walkway offer a 160 cm double bed in one and two single beds in the other. The bathroom has a shower, with a separate toilet. Ideal for two, the house sleeps up to four, in complete peace and quiet.

The house stands on the edge of the forest in Beaumont-le-Roger, in the Eure, about 1.5 hours west of Paris. The town centre, with its delicatessen, greengrocer, wine merchant, butchers and bakeries, is less than ten minutes away. Golf, horse riding, tennis and châteaux are close by, and the sea at Deauville is about an hour's drive.
