Maison de la source is Alvignac's former Hôtel de la Poste, fully renovated into a spacious and characterful holiday home. The large living room has kept the old bar counter and its big fireplace; it opens onto a garden shaded by tall plane trees, with a 10 × 5 m private pool, open depending on the weather in May, September and October. The kitchen, with a large range cooker, two dishwashers and a double fridge, is equipped for 12 around a big table. Upstairs are six bedrooms and two bathrooms with walk-in showers. A games room with table football completes the house. Household linen is provided and end-of-stay cleaning is included.

The house is in the village of Alvignac, in the Lot; shops and the casino are within walking distance. Rocamadour and the Gouffre de Padirac are ten minutes away by car, and the Dordogne valley and its canoe trips twenty minutes. Within the Causses du Quercy regional nature park, the surroundings lead to Autoire, Carennac, Loubressac and the Château de Castelnau. Local cuisine features duck, Rocamadour cheese and Quercy lamb.
