Maison Luroa is a noble Basque house built in 1505, probably the oldest in Cambo-les-Bains, restored by local craftsmen and officially rated as a 5-star holiday rental. Across 480 m², it brings together a dining room worthy of the finest family tables, a large living room with a piano at the foot of a monumental staircase, a high-end kitchen, eight bedrooms each with its own character — four-poster bed, toile de Jouy, colonial or zen style — and six bathrooms. Rented in its entirety with its garden, south-facing terraces and heated pool overlooking the mountains, it welcomes up to 15 guests for family gatherings or holidays with friends.

Cambo-les-Bains is a spa town in the inland Basque Country, known for its thermal baths and its gâteau basque. The house stands in Bas-Cambo, a typical old village surrounded by Espelette pepper fields, close to the stream, its wash house and its pelota court. The beaches of Biarritz and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Espelette, Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and the Spanish border are all within easy reach; Biarritz airport is 24 km away and the station, just below the house, reaches Bayonne in 20 minutes.

Murielle and Emmanuel had Maison Luroa restored by local craftsmen during the winter of 2020-2021. On site, their concierge Jérôme welcomes guests, looks after the house, pool and garden, and is on hand throughout your stay.
🍷 On arrival, a welcome basket awaits you for a Basque-flavoured aperitif or breakfast. Classic car enthusiasts, the hosts are also happy to share their favourite drives in the region.
